Senior Executive Program

Our Career Transition practice is distinguished by a broad assortment of both traditional and non-traditional career transition services. Knightsbridge provides pragmatic assistance for a smooth, well supported career move.

At the outset we meet with you to determine your needs and to design a program and strategy tailored to those needs. Should you decide to pursue an entrepreneurial venture or wish to plan retirement, rather than conduct a corporate search, Knightsbridge is well equipped to handle this and services would be adjusted accordingly. Program options may include:

EARLY PERSONAL ASSISTANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
  • Financial and tax counselling to help in dealing with a severance payment and throughout the program as helpful.
  • Referral to legal counsel to review separation agreement.
  • Shared private offices with computers and internet access, telephone, word processing and photocopying.
CAREER ANALYSIS
  • An intensive series of self assessment exercises to enable you to reflect on personal and career path, identifying past achievements, themes, and patterns which are significant.
  • Psychometric assessment which provides an objective overview of personality, interpersonal and managerial skills, career interests and work objectives. Feedback is provided through discussion and a detailed written report.
  • Third party interviews with business associates at the superior, peer and subordinate level will be conducted. These confidential interviews provide us with valuable perceptions and evaluations of your style in communications, interpersonal relations, political astuteness, leadership and technical abilities. We derive themes regarding strengths and weaknesses, as well as career opportunities, all of which is valuable in identifying market positioning, both short term and long term.

This comprehensive approach to data gathering makes for an interesting comparison of strengths, attitudes, preferences and development opportunities from which to create a plan.

FUTURE PLANNING
A vital part of Knightsbridge’s Senior Executive Service is to provide our executive clients with the ability to manage their career in the long term, throughout inevitable change. Together, we will develop a strategic Business Plan for Career Management, which will identify not only your next job, but also position you for career transition in the longer term. 

Where appropriate, we create business advisory panels comprised of executive recruiters, industry specialists as well as personal colleagues and confidantes to whom you would present the strategies and tactics of a business plan for their input. This serves as excellent preparation for entering the marketplace with a well-focused campaign.

RESEARCH ASSISTANCE
Being in possession of current, accurate information is vital to your search. Our Director of Research is available to provide information on companies, executives and industries, usually within hours. Our research services include a wealth of resources, including access to information from 20 on-line data bases.
NETWORKING ASSISTANCE AND INTRODUCTIONS
After more than 30 successful years of working with people and organizations, Knightsbridge consultants have created an extensive network which allows us to provide clients with secure introductions to a wide variety of people, organizations and opportunities, nationally and globally.
EXECUTIVE RECRUITERS
We will help you connect with executive recruiters in Canada, the US and Europe and we will arrange “courtesy interviews” with a number of the most appropriate search leaders, including the Knightsbridge Executive Search practice and the Knightsbridge Interim Management practice.
BOARD DIRECTORSHIPS
We assist clients in identifying profit and non-profit board opportunities through our relationships with executive search firms and industry leaders. In addition, we host special sessions, conduct customized research on organizations and their existing board members and work with you to create communication pieces tailored to specific board positions.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP OR CONSULTING BUSINESS
We provide consulting support as well as specialized seminars on entrepreneurship, being a consultant and preparing business plans for those exploring alternative employment options. 

In addition, we assist clients focused on entrepreneurship or consulting with issues related to legal, financial, tax, marketing, fee structuring, billing and accounting practices for their business venture.

Through our relationships with private equity firms, we can help clients seek out businesses for sale and assist with the purchase of a business or franchise.

EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION ADVICE
On receiving, structuring or negotiating an offer of employment, specialists will provide you with the most current data as well as coaching in negotiating the compensation package.
FIRST 100 DAYS SUPPORT
Information and coaching to assist in the successful integration to a new role is provided to all clients. Those who land new opportunities before their programs are complete may be eligible for our First 100 days coaching. They may choose to continue with their current career coach, or work with any one of our executive coaches, depending on their preference and the integration goals they have set for their new role.
