CPLD

CMA Ontario is proud of its ongoing support of Continuous Professional Learning and Development (CPLD). By formalizing our commitment to the principles of ongoing professional development, CMA Ontario and Members demonstrate to employers, clients, fellow Members and the public at large the standard of care that our profession demands. Throughout their careers, Members are expected to continue to hone and develop the professional knowledge, skills, values, ethics and attitudes relevant to their current and future work and professional responsibilities. Your on-going cooperation in upholding the public trust is appreciated.

CPLD Requirements

The current CPLD requirement for all certified Members of CMA Ontario is 120 learning credits over a three-year period, with a minimum of 20 credits now required in each reporting year. Certified members must make a declaration each September confirming that the member has met the CPLD requirements for the previous fiscal year. This is completed through My CMA Membership portal.

To ensure compliance with the CPLD policy, each year a number of members is called upon to produce supporting documentation for verification purposes.

CPLD Reporting and Compliance Declaration

CMA Ontario has returned to a mandatory online tracking system. 1. Login to the My CMA Membership portal at http://members.cma-ontario.org. If you do not have a login or have forgotten your password, please click on the appropriate link on the page to reset your password.
2. Click on “CPLD Declaration” in the blue box.
3. Then select the reporting year from the “Year” dropbox.
4. Then select “Formal CPLD Entry Form” or “Informal CPLD Entry Form” to input CPLD activities.
